Michael Alan Wiley, 59, of Lomax, Ill., died Friday, May 19, 2023, at his home.
Born June 25, 1963, in Burlington, he was the son of Terry and Sharon Krogemeier Wiley. He married Stephanie Anderson. They later divorced. He then married Beth Knopp on March 25, 2017.
Mike was a Union Laborer for Local #538 for eight years, until his retirement in 2019. Prior to that he worked on the river.
He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved fishing and trap shooting. He was a St. Louis Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys fan and loved to watch WWE Wrestling. He was a proud “Papa” and his time with his grandkids meant everything to him and he enjoyed attending their activities.
Mike is survived by his wife Beth Wiley of Lomax; two sons, Brad (Misty McCrory) Wiley of Cedar Rapids, and Bryan (Connie) Wiley of Carman, Ill.; two step-sons, Ryan (Caroline) Jones of Danville, and Zachary Weyrick of Montrose; eight grandchildren with one on the way; his parents, Terry and Sharon Wiley of West Burlington; his three “fur babies”, Millie, Abby, and Bailey; aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents, aunts, and uncles.
The graveside funeral service and inurnment for Mr. Wiley will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 27 at Carman Cemetery, Carman, Ill. Pastor JudyAnn Morse will officiate.
According to his wishes, cremation has been accorded and entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel.
