Allison Marie Sturgill, died Sunday, Oct. 17, 2021, with her mother by her side. She fought stage IV metastatic breast cancer for 10 ½ years.
Born April 16, 1977, she was the daughter of Susan Sturgill and Fred Jaeger. New Orleans was her home for 20 years.
She graduated from Burlington High School in 1995 and attended the Art Institute of Denver, University of New Orleans, and Delgado Community College with a focus in Art.
She earned a welding certificate and made sculptures and jewelry. She was a makeup artist and posted makeup looks on Instagram. She was also a house music DJ.
She enjoyed art, painting, music, dancing, fashion, and makeup.
Survivors include her parents, both of Burlington; one sister, Erica Sturgill; and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
The celebration of life for Ms. Sturgill will be at a later date. Cremation has been accorded. Lunning Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
A memorial has been established for St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
