James Rodell Perry, 80, of Burlington, died Thursday, March 17, 2022, at his home.

Born May 7, 1941, in Andover, Mo., he was the son of Eugene and Arlie Ione Hill Perry. On July 6, 1962, he married Erma Parkhurst in Eagleville, Mo.

He worked for Burlington Northern Railroad for 30 years and was also a farmer. He was a member of West Hill United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Erma Perry of Burlington; three children, Bev McKasson, Richard Perry, and Wes (Patricia) Perry; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one brother, Don Perry of Burlington.

The funeral service for Mr. Perry was held on Saturday, March 19th at Lunning Chapel. Interment was in Aspen Grove Cemetery.

A memorial has been established for Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice.
