Barbara Jean Bright, 81, of West Burlington, died Monday, June 12, 2023, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington.

Born Sept. 13, 1941, in Burlington, she was the daughter of John Henry and Veda A. Powell Crowder. On Dec. 4, 1960, she married Eugene Andrew and later divorced. On April 26, 1974, she married Frank Smith Bright in Burlington.&nbsp;

Barbara worked for Burlington Northern Railroad as a clerk secretary. She also had a clerical service from her home and taught computer basics.

Barbara enjoyed computers. She was a seamstress and loved crocheting, knitting and crafting as she enjoyed going to vendors craft shows. She also had a strong love of music; she played piano, organ, accordion, and violin. Barbra loved reading the Bible.

Survivors include daughter, Nancy Jean (Eric) Lowe of Burlington, granddaughter, Valerie Lynn (Matthew) Jarvis-McQuillen of Burlington, granddaughter, Heather JoAnn Lowe of Burlington.

Besides her husband Frank, she was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Martha Alma Crowder and one brother, John Powell Crowder, Jr.
