Sue Anne Loyd, 63, of Burlington died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2023, at Southeast Iowa Hospice House in West Burlington.
Born Feb. 8, 1960, in Burlington, Iowa she was the daughter of Louis Loyd & Geneva Huss Loyd Stewart.
She was a graduate of New London High School class of 1978. Sue worked for Goodyear in Mount Pleasant, COBO Manufacturing, Bartending, and Heartland Packaging in West Burlington.
She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary for many years. She loved to fish, and enjoyed vacations and being with her friends.
Sue is survived by her loving companion Ed Murphy; one sister-in-law, one nephew, two great nieces & two great-nephews; and extended family Eric (Shawnee) Murphy and Ryan (Tara) Murphy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, one nephew, and one niece.
A memorial visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, 2023, at Lunning Chapel.
Inurnment will be held in Carmen Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial has been established for the Southeast Iowa Hospice House.
