Rosalee Frisbee

Rosalee  Frisbee, 84, of Burlington died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2021, at the Hospice House in West Burlington.

Rosalee was born on March 1, 1937, in Shelbina, Mo. She was the second daughter of Paul and Hazel Knapp Richards. Rosalee married Claude M. Frisbee on Dec. 25, 1955.

She graduated from Shelbina, Missouri High School, lettering for four years on the girls' basketball team.

She was employed at Kroger and Tillet's Cafe while in high school, and also ran a St. Louis Post Dispatch paper route. After she was married, she worked for A&P, Sylvania, Target, and Northwest Fabric.

Rosalee enjoyed playing bridge, playing rummy with her grandchildren, camping, canoeing, biking, fishing for trout and bass, traveling, cruising on large ships, and visiting our national parks.

Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Cathy Frisbee of Burlington; two sons, Matthew Frisbee of Burlington and Beryl Frisbee of Houston, Tex.; brother, Buddy Richards of Shelbina, Mo.; seven grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Edward Frisbee; one sister, Carolyn Fontenot; one brother, Paul Richards; and one granddaughter.

Funeral arrangements are pending with Prugh-Thielen Funeral Home. No visitation or services are planned.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Prugh Crematory.
