Martha “Marti” Ann Rente, 85, of Burlington, died Saturday, September 25, 2021, at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington.

Born October 20, 1935, in Denmark, Iowa she was the daughter of Clyde E. and Lolita F. Thresher Prox. She married Frederick W. Rente. He died on June 25, 2010.

Marti worked as a Radiologist Technician for 16 years in Arizona until retiring in 1980.

She was a member of the Radiologist Technician Organization Senior Club.

She loved to travel to the outer banks with her husband, visiting Spain, Jamaica, Nova Scotia, and most states. In Marti’s words, “It doesn’t matter where you went, it was who you’re with”.

Survivors include three children; Lynn Kempton of Tucson and Susan Rente both of Tucson, Arizona, and Frederick Rente IV of Wisconsin; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and four sisters.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Cremation has been accorded and entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel. Inurnment will be at a later date in Claypoole Cemetery, Wever, Iowa.&nbsp;
