Jill Annette Whitmore, 57, of East Moline, Ill., passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Mercy One Genesis in Silvis, Ill. Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Schroder Mortuary, 701 1st Ave, Silvis, Ill. Jill will be cremated, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Make-a-Wish.
Jill was born April 22, 1968, in Iowa City. The daughter of Jack and Sharon Denney Schoof. She married Frank Whitmore at Bethany Lutheran Church on June 10, 1990, in Burlington. She graduated from Burlington High School in 1986 and from St Ambrose University in 1993 in Davenport, Iowa. She worked at Genesis Hospital Systems for 35 years, first in patient finance for 8 years and as a staff account for 27 years.
She enjoyed riverboat excursions on the Celebration Belle with her mother and daughter-in-law, Alexus, playing Pokemon Go with son David, Amateur Radio, Parks on the Air, and was a member of the River Bend Wireless Operators Club in Milan, Ill.
Survivors include her mother, Sharon Schoof Eisenmayer of Burlington; husband Frank; sons Alexander (Alexus) Whitmore of Bettendorf, and David of East Moline, and a brother, John (Chelli) Schoof Jr. of Burlington. Also surviving are many cherished nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, sister-in-laws, and brothers-in-law.
Jill is preceded in death by her father Jack, cousins Julie, Lisa, and Joann, mother-in-law Marion, sister-in-law Peggy, and brother-in-law Mark.
