Mrs. Helen L. Weilbrenner, 93, of Burlington died Monday, May 23, 2022, at Oakview Nursing and Rehab Center.
Born October 16, 1928, in Burlington, she was the daughter of George
A. and Lavina F. Hancock Tenhaaf. She was of the Christian faith.
Helen graduated from Burlington High School. On October 17, 1948, she married Donald J. Weilbrenner. He died March 8, 1987.
She was a telephone operator for Northwestern Bell for 35 years, retiring in 1982.
Helen was known for her handiwork and she enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include her daughter, Judi (Keith) Newland of Burlington;
one granddaughter, Shannon Lundquist of Burlington; and one sister, Ruth Wyborny of
Burlington.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers.
The graveside service for Mrs. Weilbrenner will be 2pm Friday, May
27, 2022, at Aspen Grove Cemetery, with Reverend Kendall Adams
officiating.
A memorial has been established for the Des Moines County Humane Society.
