Melissa Clare Fraise, 72, of Burlington, died Nov. 2, 2023, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Health Center in West Burlington.

Born on July 22, 1951, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Melvin O. and Florence Stoecker Davis. She married Randall “Randy” Fraise on Nov. 29, 1975. They later divorced.

She worked in production for General Electric for many years.

Melissa loved to go fishing, being outdoors, watch movies, going out to eat Chinese buffet, and spending time with her grandkids.

She is survived by her two daughters; Sarah Fraise of Rockford, Ill.and Sally Fraise of New Lenox, Ill.; three grandchildren, Alexander, Desmond and Charlotte; two sisters, Debbie Davis of Burlington and Betty Lou Forbes of Rolla, Mo.; brother Bill Davis of Georgia and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, John Davis in infancy and Robert Davis.

The visitation for Melissa will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Monday, Nov. 6 at Lunning Chapel. Graveside committal will be held in Kossuth Cemetery.
