Paula K. Lambert, 85, of Burlington, died Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City. Born on Dec. 22, 1939, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Wayne and Helen Denney Darrah. She married Ray L. Booten and of that union they had two daughters Tammy and Patricia. They later divorced. On Oct. 6, 1979 in Burlington, she married Charlie Lambert, he survives.

Paula graduated from Burlington High School in 1957. For twenty years she worked for Northwestern Bell and then Burlington Bank & Trust until she retired. She enjoyed going out dancing and fishing with Charlie. She loved to be in the kitchen baking for all her grandchildren. Most of all Paula loved being with her family, especially the grandchildren who brought her the most joy.

She is survived by her husband Charlie; children: Tammy (Gary) Davis of Urbandale, Iowa, Lori (Jesse Taylor) Hintt of Poplar Grove, Illinois, and Bob (Shelly) Lambert of Maple Park, Illinois; eight grandchildren: Bannen (Alysha), Selleck and Conner Davis, Austin and Annissa Hintt and Ryan, Chase and Brady Lambert; five great grandchildren; sister Sandra (Jerry) Eberhardy of Texarkana, Arkansas and sister in-law Trudy Darrah of Burlington. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Patricia Booten in infancy; three brothers: Gary Darrah, Frank Darrah and Denny Darrah; two sisters: Shirley Ross and Sherry Boothe.

Per her wishes cremation has been entrusted and accorded to the care of Lunning Chapel.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the Burlington Eagles Club.

A memorial has been established in her memory.
