Born January 19, 1934, in Burlington, Iowa, she was the daughter of Earl and Hazel (Marshall) Wright. She married Robert D. Mason on August 21, 1955. They later divorced.
Patricia worked as secretary to the plant manager for I.A.A.P and in sales. She most recently owned and operated the Grey Goose Inn, Bed and Breakfast, in Honey Creek State Park.
Patricia was a visionary. She loved to design and decorate. She was a bargain shopper and loved to negotiate prices along the way.
She is survived by her grandchildren; Jacob (Tara) Mason of Ankeny and Andrew (Amber) Mason and Elizabeth (Ryan) Frisicaro both of Burlington; six great-grandchildren, Gavin, Cambri, Adelyn, Lachlan, Michael, and Genevieve; two brothers, Gene Wright of Upland, California, and Bobby (Linda) Wright of Mission, Kan.; one sister, Cyndi (Greg) Munson of Bloomfield; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son Robert J. Mason and brother Richard Wright.
The funeral service for Ms. Mason will be 11 a.m. Friday, December 9 at Lunning Chapel. Pastor Jim Wakelin will officiate. Interment will be in Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the funeral service.
A memorial has been established for the Des Moines County Humane Society.
