Dana Dee Dusenbery Hanson, 48, of Burlington, died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2023, at her home.
Born May 30, 1974, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Billy and Becky Stevenson Dusenbery. She married Dustin Hanson on June 28, 1997, and they later divorced.
Dana was a 1992 graduate of Burlington High School. She worked in sales for her grandmother at Dolores’ Resale Shop.
She was the kindest, most selfless woman. She loved being a mom, shopping, staying home, spoiling her wiener dog Robby, finding junk at tag sales to decorate her house with, watching true crime shows, attending the races, and drinking Diet Coke. She would have done anything for her children, they were her life.
Survivors include her two children; Lauryn Hanson and Dylan Hanson both of Burlington; her parents, Billy and Becky Dusenbery of Burlington, her maternal grandmother Dolores Stevenson of Burlington, and her father-in-law Paul Hanson of Burlington.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Franny and Dusey Dusenbery, maternal grandfather Arthur Stevenson and her mother-in-law LaDonna Hanson.
A celebration of life will be held from 12 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11 at the Burlington Gym.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in c/o Lauryn or Dylan Hanson.
According to her wishes, cremation has been accorded and entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel.
