
Dolores F. Kester, 93, of Danville, died Thursday, March 17, 2022, at the Klein Center in West Burlington.
Born January 12, 1929, in Burlington, she was the daughter of John and Gladys Lamb Holst. She married Milford Morris, and they spent more than 70 years together.
She was a graduate of Burlington High School and Iowa Wesleyan in 1972 with her Teaching Certificate. She was a teacher for James Madison and Oak Street schools in Burlington for many years. She was very knowledgeable with computers and was a big factor in getting them incorporated in schools.
She was a member of Latty Church, St. Luke's Church of Christ. She was a talented musician, playing piano and organ in different bands and teaching private lessons.
Survivors include two sons, Randy Kester of Danville, and David Kester of Marengo, Ill.; two daughters, Kathy Schnedler of North Liberty, and Claudia Martin of Burlington; 9 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory and there will be a private family burial at Latty Cemetery at a later date.
A memorial has been established for the Latty Cemetery Foundation.
