Christina Marie “Tina” Markey, 60, of Ottumwa, Iowa, passed away at 12:40 p.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at the New London Specialty Care in New London, Iowa. Tina was born June 20, 1966, in Burlington, Iowa, the daughter of William “Tony” and Priscilla Karen Gooding Markey. Tina was raised and educated in Dallas City, Illinois. She was a 1984 graduate of Dallas City High School. She enjoyed being outdoors, tending to her flowers, frequenting the casino and especially spending time with her grandsons.&nbsp; Survivors include one daughter: Jennifer (Mike) Lilly of Morning Sun, Iowa; two grandsons: Landyn and Nash Lilly; three siblings: Joanne (Ronald) Brown of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, Jackie (Roger) Countryman of Stronghurst, Illinois, and Paul Markey of Dallas City; her longtime significant other: Shane Smith of Ottumwa; and dear friend and neighbor: Lloyd Anderson of Ottumwa. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: Gail and Christopher Markey.&nbsp; Cremation has been entrusted to Banks &amp; Beals Funeral Home.&nbsp; A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 6, 2026, at Gittings Mound Cemetery, rural Dallas City, with Fr. Tony Trosley officiating.&nbsp; A memorial fund has been established for Tina’s family, c/o Jackie Countyman.
