
Sandra K. Harman, 80, of Nauvoo, passed away at 3:36 a.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington.
Born on October 31, 1944, in New Orleans, Louisiana, the daughter of Linsey and Wahnita Prox Barritt. On March 10, 1963, she married Ronald Harman at the Appanoose Faith Presbyterian Church in Niota.
Survivors include her husband Ron; three children: Richard (Julie) Harman of Niota, Patty (Alan) Seigfried of Niota, Jamie Harman of Niota; seven grandchildren: Kaitlyn (Brendan Huls) Brouwer of Cedar Falls, Dakota (Jake) Karber of Clark, South Dakota, Brittany (Chris) Pierce of Niota, Brenden (Mary Richards) Seigfried of Niota, Brody Seigfried of Niota, Mackenze Harman of Niota, Amanda Harman of Niota; six great grandchildren: Noah, Jack, Ryan, Caraline, Madilyn, Weston; and two sisters: Linda (Bob) Durbin of Fountain Hills, Arizona, Carla Scheetz of Burnside. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Ronnie Scheetz.
Sandra was a member of Appanoose Faith Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed volunteering throughout the community.
A visitation will be held from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 15, 2025, at Appanoose Faith Presbyterian Church in Niota, where the family will receive friends from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Appanoose Faith Presbyterian Church in Niota with Pastor David Poland officiating.
Burial will be in the Nauvoo City Cemetery.
A memorial has been established in her memory for Appanoose Faith Presbyterian Church.
