Mary Ann Carlson, 71, of West Burlington died Thursday, August 28, 2025, at the Klein Center of West Burlington. She was born on March 19, 1954 in Burlington, the daughter of William and Mabel Hanson Yates.
Mary graduated from West Burlington Arnold High School in 1972 and on May 26, 1973 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in West Burlington she married Randall Allen Carlson.
Mary was a member of Harmony Bible Church in Danville. She was a Homemaker and loved being a mom, walking, exercising, and playing the Piano.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years Randall Allen Carlson of West Burlington, one son Jeremy Carlson and daughter-in-law, Zabrina Carlson Tipton of Centerville, Ohio; one son-in-law, Lonnie Nichols of Ashburn, Virginia; Three grandchildren, Ian Alexander Nichols of Arlington, Virginia, Kyrsten Heather Carlson of Pensacola, Florida, and Christa Anna Tipton-Nigro of Centerville, Ohio; brother-in-law, sister-in-law, many nieces and nephews.
.She was preceded in death by her Parents, daughter Heather Dawn Nichols, one brother Richard Korschgen, and one sister Barb Stellern.
The funeral service for Mary Ann Carlson will be 12 noon on Saturday, September 6, 2025 in the Lunning Chapel with Pastor Nate Todd officiating. Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10 am till the time of service.
A memorial has been established in memory of Mary Carlson for the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice.
The family would like to extend their appreciation and gratitude to the Klein Center for the loving care they provided to Mary and our family in her final days.
