Terry Alvin Wiley, 80, died Monday, March 25, 2024, at his home in West Burlington.

Born on August 1, 1943, in Burlington, he was the son of Alvin O. & Dorothy Barkus Wiley Jr. On June 30, 1962, in Burlington, he married Sharon Krogmeier.

Terry was a 1962 Burlington High School graduate. Following high school, he went and worked for J.I. Case as a tool and die maker. In 1994 Terry decided it was time to retire after thirty years with J.I. Case.

Duck season was his favorite hunting season with his beloved Chesapeake dogs. He also enjoyed fishing on the river and trap shooting. If he wasn’t out hunting or fishing, you could always find him working in his garage.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years Sharon; two grandsons: Brad (Misty) Wiley of Cedar Rapids, and Bryan (Connie) Wiley of Carman, Ill.; five great-grandchildren: Airik, Aiden, Ashtynn, Ashlynn, and Ryleigh; daughter-in-law Beth Wiley of Lomax, Ill.; sister Diane Rounds and brother Jerry (Bert) Wiley all of Burlington. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, brother Jim Wiley and son Michael Wiley.

The funeral service for Terry will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 29, 2024, at Lunning Chapel with Pastor JudyAnn Morse officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Burlington Memorial Park.
