Shirley A. Bruner, 88, of Moberly, died Friday, Dec. 29, 2023, at the University Hospital in Columbia, Mo.

Born Aug. 16, 1935, in Chicago, she was the daughter of Arthur and Mildred Schultz Hofmann. On July 18, 1954, she married William Clay Bruner at St. Luke's United Church of Christ in Burlington. He died Feb. 5, 2010.

Survivors include one son, Thomas Bruner; one daughter; two grandchildren; two brothers, Dave Hofmann and Jim Hofmann; and two sisters, Barb Krasuski and Sandy Dunn. Shirley's son, David Bruner, died a few days after her. 

Visitation will be from 10 until 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 12 at Prugh Funeral Service, 3940 Division St. The funeral service for Shirley and her son, Dave, will follow at 11 a.m. at Prugh Funeral Service. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
