Eric Aaron Parton, 62, of West Burlington, died Sunday, June 21, 2026, at his home. Born May 2, 1964, in Kirksville, Mo., he was the son of Joseph William and Linda King Parton. He graduated from Burlington High School in 1981. He was a U.S. Army National Guard Veteran, serving from August 15, 1984, until November 16, 1986. Eric worked as a line cook for over 20 years. He enjoyed going to casinos and watching sports.&nbsp; Survivors include his mother, Linda (Floyd, "Jim") Remick of West Point; brothers, Danny Whitmore and Chad Parton, both of Burlington; sisters, Lisa Jessop of Burlington and Tonya (Blaze Gilcrist) Parton of Davenport; three nieces, including Jenni (Christian) Diaz; three grandnieces, including Aaliyah and Isabella Diaz. He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, and brother, Jamie Parton. There will be no visitation or services. Prugh Funeral Service is in care of the arrangements.
