Vonsuere “Phoebe” Deanne Thompson, 55, died August 27, 2022, in Joplin, Mo.

Born in Bent Harbor, Mich., December 25, 1966.

She attended school in Michigan and later relocated to Joplin, Mo.

She loved to be around her family and friends. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart. She was a jack of all trades with a unique style, never forgetting a hat!

She is survived by her children; Augusta Daniels of Joplin, Mo., Arlene Doss of Flint, Mich., Tommie Thompson of Joplin, Mo. and Georgia Jones of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; fifteen grandchildren; one brother, Carlos Thompson; father, Thurman Watson of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; significant other, Tommie Lee “Mr. Tom” Theus; special cousins, Teresa Wilson, Monica Thompson and Bernard Wilson; niece DaReisha Thompson; nephews Carlos Thompson Jr. and Deonte Thompson.

Phoebe was preceded in death by her mom Georgia Thompson who she honored and cherished deeply.

The Homegoing Celebration for Vonsuere was held at 12 p.m. Friday, September 9, at Lunning Chapel. Interment will be held at Aspen Grove Cemetery.
