Verda Johnson Baird died on Oct. 5, 2024, at Parkview Care Center.&nbsp;

She was born in Burlington, Iowa, in 1930 and graduated from BHS in 1948. She was the widow of “Barney” Baird. The family left Morning Sun area in 1963.&nbsp;

Visitation will be at Behner Funeral Home from 5 pm. to 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 10. The service will be at 10:30 am, Friday, Oct. 11, at Behner Funeral Home with burial in Evergreen Cemetery.&nbsp;

Memorials are to Jefferson County Conservation Nature Center or the Fairfield Methodist church. Memorials may be mailed to the Behner Funeral Home.
