Charlene Clark, 90, of Burlington, died Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington.
Born November 9, 1934, at home in Henderson County, Ill., she was the daughter of Rex and Esther Lachmann Mynatt. On February 21, 1953, she married Orren William Clark at Ft. Sill in Lawton, Okla. He preceded her in death on February 2, 2020.
She graduated from Stronghurst High School with the class of 1952. Charlene worked in inspection at Champion Spark Plug for 30 years.
Charlene enjoyed gardening, reading, fishing and playing cards. She was a frequent shopper at garage sales and resale shops. She loved spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids.
Survivors include her son, William "Bill" Clark of Burlington; daughter, Vicki (Robert) Dunlap of Woodhaven, Mich. three brothers, Richard "Sonny" (Betty) Mynatt of Denmark, Iowa, Keith Mynatt of Laguna Vista, Texas, and Larry (Karen) Mynatt of La Harpe, Ill.; one sister, Carolyn "Babe" Bez of Fort Myers, Fla.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one daughter, Renee Sandy; one brother, Rex A. Mynatt; and one grandson, Garrett Sandy.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Thursday, October 22, 2025 at Prugh Funeral Service, 3940 Division Street.
The funeral service for Charlene will be 11:00 AM Thursday, October 22, 2025, at Prugh Funeral Service, 3940 Division Street with Linda Markey officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery at a later date.
A memorial has been established.
