Pauline C. Rein, 84, of West Burlington, died Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at the OakView Nursing Home and Rehabilitation in Burlington with her daughters by her side.

Born March 9, 1938, in Washington, Ia., she was the daughter of Donald R. and Edna Mae Lamansky Crone.

Pauline worked as a graphic artist at Winegard for 19 years and she also worked as a copywriter.

Pauline was a member of First Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed art and was very artistic. Pauline also enjoyed gardening, reading, and volunteering at the library and hospital. She always loved taking care of the many cats she owned throughout the years.

Survivors include her daughters, Carol (David) Hughes of Avon, Ind., Karina (Dr. Thomas) Serbousek of Las Vegas, Nev.; grandchildren, James and Timothy Hughes, Chase and Sydney Bennett; and two step-grandchildren, Jack and Katie Serbousek.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.

The celebration of life for Mrs. Rein will be 2 p.m. Friday, July 29, at First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington, Ia. at a later date.
