
Nancy Leah Pfeiff, 91, of Burlington, died Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Oak Lane Nursing and Rehabilitation in Stronghurst, Illinois.
Born August 11, 1934, in Stronghurst, Illinois, she was the daughter of Earl L. and Dorothy Stevenson Ford. She married Wilbur Pfeiff on December 18, 1953. He preceded her in death on January 19, 2025.
Nancy was a school bus driver for the Burlington School District for 28 years.
She was a member of the West Burlington United Methodist Church and part of their women’s group for many years.
She loved quilting, plants and flowers, but her biggest enjoyment was her family and time spent with them.
She is survived by her two children, Tim (Julie) Pfeiff and Teesa (Wayne) Kershner; three grandchildren, Amanda Hicks, Drew Pfeiff, and Colton Kershner; and two great-grandchildren, Nancy Hicks and Thomas Hicks.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings, Earl Ford Jr. “Buster”, Robert Ford, Paul Ford, Mary Ann Wilson, Marvin Ford and Rodney Ford.
A private family graveside funeral service and inurnment for Wilbur and Nancy Pfeiff will be at Greenwood Cemetery, West Burlington. Pastor Nancy Sutherland will officiate.
Cremation has been accorded and entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel.
