Jacquelin Stewart Nelson, 70, of West Burlington, died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2022, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington.

Born Sept. 9, 1951, in Birmingham, Ala., she was the daughter of Walter and Pearl Stewart. On Dec. 14, 1999, she married John Nelson in Saginaw, Mich.&nbsp;

Jacquelin graduated from Tarrant High School, then continued her education at the Booker T. Washington Business College in Birmingham.

While living in Birmingham she worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance and later the University of Alabama. Following that, she worked for Genesee Packing Corp and then Rotor Coater in Saginaw, Mich.&nbsp;

Jacquelin was a member of the Union Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband; son, Shavontae "Tae" Nelson of West Burlington; three stepsons, Devarious "Dee" Nelson, Tyranious "Ty" Nelson, and Rayshan Carter; two stepdaughters, Latasha Carter and Lashonda Nelson-Sanders; and sister, Ann Eatmon.

Cremation has been entrusted to Prugh Crematory.
