Junior Russell Poland, 51, of Burlington, died Friday, Jan. 27, 2023, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington.

Born March 30, 1971, in Iowa City, he was the son of James Poland and Pauline Williams Poland Walker.

Junior graduated from Burlington High School.&nbsp;He was a roofer for Brockway Company.

Junior enjoyed playing games on the play station. He liked wrestling. He loved to spend time playing with his dogs Goliath and Auska.

Survivors include his companion of 23 years, Tina Marie Rady of Burlington; three daughters Cherokee Poland of Burlington, Cheyenne Poland, and Lakota Poland of Iowa; one son Dakota Ivan Poland of Ottumwa; one grandson Leon Hartman; one sister Donna Helmick of Quincy, Ill.; two brothers John Helmick and Elvis Poland of Burlington; bonus daughters Jennifer Gerdis Cleland, Christina Throckmorton, Brittnie Nelson, Brandy Gerdis all of Ohio and Jessica Hartman of Ottumwa.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother James Poland.

Cremation has been accorded and entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel.

There will be no formal service at this time.
