Robert “Bob” Bliesener,65, died in West Burlington, on Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2023. Bob was born to Ronald and Roberta Gabeline Bliesener on July 23, 1957, in Burlington.
Bob made his home in West Burlington. He worked as a contractor for Community Development Group, owned by Brian and Tammy Hopkins, for over 23 years. He also worked for a lot of his “lady friends”. He was the manager for a couple of Tag Sale companies. Bob was very knowledgeable about antiques, collectibles, and primitive junk. Bob loved garage sales, yard sales, and tag sales and was often first in line to get the “best stuff” being offered. Bob could play piano beautifully and never had lessons. Bob was kind to all the stray cats and kittens in the neighborhood, always offering food. Bob always made food for his friends who celebrated holidays as he wanted to share in their celebrations. Bob loved to decorate for the holidays with an emphasis on Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. A quiet man, Bob always was helpful and kind to so many people he knew and strangers he met. Those that Bob knew always could count on him to smile and share something very nice in the conversations. Bob will be missed by many friends. He would always say “Make every day the best you can.” And never say “Goodbye” but “See you later.”
