Peggy Lea Besaw, 62, of Burlington, died Saturday, Oct. 2, at Keokuk Area Hospital.
Born Nov. 7, 1958, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Dorsey Ruben and Lola Frances Unglesbee Heldt.
Peggy graduated from Burlington High School in 1977 and worked in player services at Catfish Bend Casino.
She was of the Baptist faith.
Peggy loved crafting, bowling, face painting, and watching the St. Louis Cardinals. For her birthday last year, she visited the Field of Dreams. In high school, she enjoyed playing basketball. She loved all her nieces and nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Survivors include four sisters, Linda Johnson of Burlington, Karen Killoren of Hamilton, Ill., Judy Griffith of Milwaukee, and Nancy Aldrich of Washington, Iowa; stepson, Michael (Tiffeny) Besaw of Kansas; one grandson; nieces and nephews; great-nieces, and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two stepsons; one stepdaughter; one sister Barb; and her grandparents.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Cremation has been entrusted to Lunning Chapel in Burlington.
