Billie Jean Moore, 90, of Burlington, died Sunday, Feb. 12, 2023, at Danville Care Center, Danville.
Born Nov. 2, 1932, in Mexico, Mo., she was the daughter of Arthur and Patsy “Peggy” Stuart. She married Raymond Moore on Aug. 3, 1951.
Billie worked at Burlington Medical Center – Klein Unit as a CNA for over 30 years. She loved taking care of the residents. She was the kindest, sweetest lady you would ever want to meet and she never knew a stranger. She had a beautiful smile. She was the greatest mom and grandma. She loved to embroider. She enjoyed watching Channel 4 and Judge Judy. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and spoiling her Pomeranian, Tuffy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister; five brothers; husband Raymond; daughter, Peggy; son, John; two grandsons Raymond Charles Moore and Robert “Bobby” Moore; granddaughter Courtney Moore and a great-granddaughter Kamryn.
Survivors include her son Raymond J. (Peggy) Moore; daughter Gina Minard; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, and her dog Tuffy.
The service for Mrs. Moore will be 11 a.m., Friday, Feb. 17. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Long Creek Cemetery in rural Danville.
