
Rose Marie Bell, 67, of Lomax, Ill., died Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Unity Point Hospital in Rock Island, Ill. Born on July 18, 1957, in Galesburg, Ill., she was the daughter of Wbaldo and Rita Rivera Interial. On July 9, 1988, at First Baptist Church, in Burlington, she married Darrell Bell.
Rose was a 1976 graduate of Galesburg High School. She worked for Protexall and was a paraprofessional for Burlington Community School District. Rose was a member of Burlington First Church of the Nazarene where she was a Sunday School helper. In Rose’s early years she enjoyed taking walks and excelled in art, especially with her gorgeous paintings. Rose also enjoyed listening to worship music, reading religious books and the Bible. She loved nothing more than to share her faith with others, teaching them about Jesus. Most of all Rose adored being with her pets, family and sharing an unconditional love for her children.
She is survived by her husband Darrell; two children: Steven (Monica Mitchell) Bell of Lomax, Illinois and Victoria Bell of Burlington, Iowa; six grandchildren; five siblings: Waldo Interial, Henry (Traci) Interial, Gloria (James) Rundle, Martha (Scott) Sovern and Rita Interial. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death but her parents, brother Albert in infancy and several cousins.
The funeral service for Rose will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Lunning Chapel. A one-hour visitation will be held prior to the service at 10 a.m. where the family will receive friends. Burial will be held in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
A memorial has been established in her memory.
