
Judith Ann “Judy” Fenton, 85, of Burlington, died Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center Hospice House in West Burlington, Iowa.
Born on Aug. 31, 1939, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Horace and Josephine Burroughs Kobus. She married Darrell Fenton Sr., and later divorced.
Judy graduated from Burlington High School in 1957. She worked for Coppes Murray for eight years and was the first female foreman. She then worked for J.I. Case for seventeen years. Judy enjoyed gardening, fishing and watching dirt track races. Judy loved being in the kitchen and baking. She was especially good at making homemade bread.
She is survived by her son Marty Fenton of Burlington; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Jim and Bill Kobus; sister Mary Kobus Weahkee; two sons: Darrell and Brad Fenton and grandson Christopher Fenton.
Per her wishes cremation has been entrusted and accorded to the care of Lunning Chapel.
A graveside service will be held in Aspen Grove Cemetery at a later date, followed by a celebration of life.
