Ray Stewart Morris, 92 of Mt Pleasant, formerly of Burlington, died Sunday, July 17, 2022 at Savannah Heights in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa.&nbsp;

Born December 18, 1929, in Powersville, Mo. He was the son of Ona B. Morris. Ray attended school in Missouri.&nbsp;

Ray worked at the C &amp; E Mattress Factory for 39 years. He never missed a day of work and retired at the age of 62. He was a member of the United Steelworkers of American Union Local 1860.&nbsp;

Ray was a charter member of Flint Hill Church of the Nazarene where he ushered for over 50 years. He also was a helper on the church van when picking up kids for church.&nbsp;

Ray never owned a car but walked thousands of miles throughout the city of Burlington during his lifetime. He was an inspiration to many and will be missed.&nbsp;

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandma Ora L. Morris in 1964.&nbsp;

The funeral service for Ray will be 10 a.m. Thursday, July 21st at Lunning Chapel with Reverend Ron Jewett officiating. 

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow services in Lucerne Cemetery in Lucerne, Mo.&nbsp;

A memorial has been established for Flint Hills Church of the Nazarene.&nbsp;
