Keith L. Andre, 80, of Burlington, died Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at his home.

Born July 11, 1942, in Moline, Illinois, he was the son of George and Charlotte Partlow Andre. He served in the Marines during the invasion of Bay of Pigs.

He married Sandy Krell on August 5, 1985, in Burlington. He worked as a logger in California, a commercial fisherman and served with ADDS and Woodlands Treatment Center. He previously served on the YMCA Camp Board of Directors.

Keith was an avid outdoorsman. He loved all types of hunting and of course fishing. He loved helping people, and for many years attended Alcoholics Anonymous and sponsored many people. In his younger years, he was a bull rider, and rode in the Marine Rodeo.

He is survived by his wife; Sandy Krell-Andre of Burlington; five children; Terri Goodwin of Michigan, Tammy Bush of Nevada, Chris Sasfy-Dean (Matt) of Illinois and Tobin (Mollie) Krell and Zach Andre both of Burlington; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one brother, Gary Andre of Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Buster Andre.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. October 16 at the Homestead 1839, 701 West Agency St., West Burlington.

According to his wishes, cremation has been accorded and entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel.

A memorial has been established for Homestead 1839.
