Michael Edward Boyer, 76, of Adrian, Ill., passed away at 9:28 a.m. Friday, March 14, 2025, at his home. He was born on May 30, 1948, in La Harpe, Ill., the son of Leon and Geneva Henson Boyer.
Survivors include his fiancé: Debby Vass; two daughters: Adelle Todd and Tonya Smith; six sons: Todd Boyer, Willie Boyer, Travis Boyer, Daryl Boyer, Jason Kinman, and Joshua Kinman; twenty-nine grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; two sisters: Debbie Kelley and Carla Pezley; four brothers: Jack Boyer, Don Boyer, Bob Boyer, and Jeff Boyer
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one son: Tony Boyer.
Mike was of the Christian Faith, he attended Nauvoo-Colusa High School. He was a musician, heavy equipment operator, and carpenter. He was a member of several bands throughout the area including: MT & Company, Common Bond, Ozone Ramblers, and Willie James Band. He enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, riding horses, playing music, and being with his family and friends.
His body has been entrusted to the crematory of Schmitz-Banks & Beals Funeral Home for cremation.
A visitation will be held from 10 to 12 noon, Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Schmitz-Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Nauvoo.
A memorial service will be held at 12 noon, Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Schmitz-Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Nauvoo with Pastor Mark Anderson officiating.
A memorial has been established in his memory.
