Melvin Benjamin Miller died on Friday, Jan. 21,
2022, at home in Rogersville, Mo., surrounded by his family.&nbsp; He was born on Jan. 17, 1924, to Benjamin and Esther Miller of Sherrill, Iowa.&nbsp;&nbsp; 

Melvin married G. Ruth Clifton from
Earlville, Iowa and settled into his career with the United Methodist Church of
Iowa, serving parishes all over the state, including in the Burlington area for 15
years. Having served churches in Iowa for over 50 years, Mel and Ruth
officially retired to Springfield, Mo. in 2005.

Survivors include his children
Benjamin Miller, David Miller, Deborah Stover,
Carolyn Schultz and Mark Miller, 15 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren with two more on the way.&nbsp; 

Melvin is commemorated with his wife in the
family plot in Fairview Cemetery in Earlville, Iowa.&nbsp;
