Bruce Edward Armstrong, 70, of Burlington, died Jan, 14, 2025, at his home. Born on Aug. 2, 1954, in Burlington, he was the son of Robert W. and Janet A. Mills Armstrong.

Bruce was a 1972 graduate of Burlington High School. He was a welder for J.I. Case for 35 years where he retired from. He enjoyed golfing and woodworking, specializing in picture frames for Ducks Unlimited, building kitchen cabinets and furniture for friends and family. Most of all Bruce loved to cook and treat his family to delicious meals.

He is survived by his mother Janet Armstrong of Burlington; brothers: David (Candice) Armstrong of Murphysboro, Ill. and Stephen Armstrong of Burlington; one niece, six nephews, and many great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Robert and an older brother Richard Armstrong.

Per his wishes cremation has been entrusted and accorded to the care of Lunning Chapel. Burial will be held in Aspen Grove at a later date and no services will be held.
