Marilyn “Goofy” Warren, 78, died Thursday, Oct. 19, 2023, at her home. Born Dec. 5, 1944, in Memphis, Mo., she was the daughter of Clifford and Dorothy Bechtel Warren. She married Lloyd Huss Jr. on Feb. 9, 1964. They later divorced.

Marilyn loved listening to music and dancing, especially Gaye and the Country Boys and Conway Twitty. She loved being outdoors and enjoyed camping, fishing, and spending time with her kids and her grandkids. Her family was her entire world.

She is survived by her four children; Carol (Eric) Huss of Marionville, Mo., Almeda “Dottie” Huss of Burlington, Lloyd (Kathy) Huss III of Carman, Ill. and Cecil Huss of Burlington; nine grandchildren, Jerry, Trevor, Jacob, Brayden, Johnathon, Rabecca, Timothy, Eric and Colton; ten great grandchildren; one sister, Betty Wheeler of Memphis, Mo.; one brother Clifford Warren of Burlington and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to send special thanks to her caregiver, Ginger Grisham, who cared for Goofy until the very end.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Ricky Warren, two sisters, Caroline Wilburn and Darlene Johansmeier, and her special friend of 35 years, Jerry Frasier.

The funeral service for Marilyn will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 28 at Lunning Chapel. Pastor Nate Bridges will officiate. Burial will be in Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7  p.m. Friday, October 27 at Lunning Chapel where the family will receive friends.

A memorial has been established for the family in the name of Dottie Huss.
