Dorothy Lee “Dottie” Craig, 89, of Burlington, died July 24, 2024, at her home.
Born Sept. 26, 1934, in Yarrow, Mo., she was the daughter of George Sr. and Grace Williams. She married Carl Eugene Craig on April 11, 1953.
Dottie worked for K-Mart, Loads of Fun laundromat and more recently for Wal-Mart.
She enjoyed watching the sporting events of her favorite teams, the Iowa Hawkeyes, Dallas Cowboys and LA Lakers. Dottie absolutely loved working and meeting people along the way. She treasured her time spent with her family and her grandbabies.
She is survived by her husband Carl Craig; two sons, Steve Craig and Scott (Brandi) Craig; four grandchildren, Tim Craig, Anna Craig, Hunter Craig and Kaden Craig; one great granddaughter Malea Craig and brother George Williams Jr.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Thomas Craig, sister Mary Osborn and brother Bob Williams.
The funeral service for Dottie will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 30 at Lunning Chapel. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice.
