
Erma Jean Isom, 84, of Burlington, was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 25, 2025, surrounded by the love and prayers of her family in the comfort of her home.
Born April 3, 1941, in Wynne, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Columbus and Dovie Moon Williams.
She attended Wynne High School in Arkansas.
She was a devoted and nurturing mother, and loving grandmother whose life was a testament to God’s grace. Her home was always a place of warmth and welcome, where love was freely given and faith was deeply rooted.
A woman of unshakable faith, Erma not only worshiped as a dedicated member of Whole Truth Gospel Church but also served faithfully as its pastor. Erma loved fishing, shopping at Hopefully Yours and, her favorite, Goodwill. She loved to be around the Saints of God and family. Jesus was her husband and she loved talking with her man.
Survivors include five children, Ossie Willfrom of Cleveland, OH, Kelvin Willform of Burlington, Jermain Willform of Cedar Rapids, Dovie Purnell of Burlington, and Octavia Rees of Burlington; 34 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Jerry (Jackie) Williams of Burlington, one sister, Mae Frances McQuay of Calumet City, IL, and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, LeVern Brown, two grandsons, Octavius Willform and Ichabod Purnell, one granddaughter, Semaja Willfrom and several other family members.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 4, 2025 at Bethany Lutheran Church.
Erma's Homegoing will be 11:00 AM Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Bethany Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A time of food and fellowship will be held at Martini's Grille following the burial.
