Dale Eugene Dobson, 72, of Burlington, died Thursday, May 9, 2024, at Genesis Select Specialty Hospital, Davenport.

Born Sept. 10, 1951, in Burlington, he was the son of Ivan Dale and Dottie Ilene Dobson. He was a 1970 graduate of Danville High School and served in the Navy.

Dale managed several restaurants and hotels and was a computer programmer. He loved just spending time at home and cherished his time with his family.

He is survived by his siblings; Leroy Dean (Becky) Dobson of Winfield and Denise Ann (Mike) Shaffer of Burlington, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a great nephew.

Visitation with family will be Thursday, May 23 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Lunning Chapel.

A memorial has been established for St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital.

Cremation has been accorded and entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel.
