This holiday weekend, get ready for a fantastic lineup of arts and entertainment that promises something for everyone. 

It all kicks off with the highly anticipated Friday Fest, presented by Burlington Riverfront Entertainment. 

This free event will treat you to an outdoor music extravaganza, tantalizing funnel cakes, and refreshing ice-cold beers, all against the stunning backdrop of the newly revealed riverfront. 

From 5:30 p.m. onwards, enjoy the sensational sounds of the LP33 Band while exploring the picturesque riverfront. 

But the fun doesn’t stop there. 

Head up the street to V.O.’s later on Friday evening to indulge in mouthwatering new menu items and enjoy tunes of James Hunerdosse beginning at 6pm.

And that’s just the beginning. On Saturday night, the Washington stage will come alive with the legendary Curtis Salgado at 8 pm. Brace yourself for a sensational blend of electrifying blues, soulful R&B, and irresistible funk as Salgado showcases his award-winning talent.

For those seeking a trip down the river, Fort Madison is the destination for art enthusiasts. The Fort Madison Area Arts Association invites you to Lunch Ala Art on Friday, May 26, at noon. 

This captivating artist talk features local metal and gem artists Ron Dean and Erika Wolf. For $10, you can savor a delectable lunch prepared by The 372 while immersing yourself in the beauty of local artwork.

The artists themselves will share their inspirations and creative processes, making it a truly immersive experience that combines both art and cuisine.

As the weekend continues, head over to the Fort Madison Art Center on Saturday evening for their monthly Finale series at 7 p.m. 

Enjoy live music performed by Brad Kurtz & Friends as you immerse yourself in remarkable local artwork displayed in their gallery. 

It’s an opportunity to be surrounded by creativity and be serenaded by soulful tunes.

And let’s not forget to mark your calendars for the 56th annual Snake Alley Art Fair, presented by the Art Center of Burlington, which will take place on Sunday, June 18, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This beloved Burlington tradition brings together over 70 artists from throughout the Midwest, showcasing beautiful fine artwork. Immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere, delight in live music from local favorites, savor tasty treats from local food vendors, and experience the charm of the Heritage Hill Neighborhood. It’s the perfect way to celebrate Father’s Day and immerse yourself in the arts.
