
Mary Ann Mitchell Libe, 83, of Burlington, died Thursday, Dec. 19, 2024, at her home.
Born April 1, 1941, in Missouri, she was the daughter of Howard and Helen Lucille Anders Mitchell. On Feb. 14, 2019, she married Francis "Frank" Libe in Burlington.
She was a graduate of Kahoka High School in 1959.
Mary worked at Lowes and Mediacom, but most people will remember her from Lisa's Tag Sales.
She was a member of First Christian Church in Burlington. She enjoyed watching sports, especially the Cardinal's and Hawkeye's. Mary also like to scroll through Facebook and POGO. Most of all, she loved checking in with her family members and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Frank Libe; three sons, Jeff (Dianne) Lipper of Townsville, SC, Scott (Tracy) Lipper of Mediapolis, and Derek (Angie) Lipper of Mediapolis; daughter, Michelle "Shelly" (John) Miller of Blue Spring, Mo., 11 grandchildren, Michelle Sligh, Tommy Watson, Tammie Robinson, Ashland Lipper, Jarade Lipper, Kayla Lipper, Karley Johnson, Leevi Walljasper, Kristi Albiar, Tyler Miller, and Cole Lipper; 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Tom Mitchell, two sisters, Karen Hobbs and Linda Johnson and grandson Michael Miller.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2024 at Prugh Funeral Service, 3940 Division Street.
The memorial service for Mrs. Libe will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2024, at Prugh Funeral Service, 3940 Division Street with Reverend David J. Yonker officiating.
A memorial has been established for First Christian Church Disciples of Christ.
