Sylvia June York, 77, of Dallas City, Illinois, passed away at 5:04 p.m. Sunday, May 11, 2025 at The Elms in Macomb, Illinois, surrounded by her family.&nbsp;

Sylvia was born November 24, 1947, near Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Leon and Leona Jewett. On October 5, 1987 she married Phillip M. York in Marshall County, Michigan. He preceded her in death August 21, 2016.&nbsp;

Sylvia is survived by one daughter: Tina Snyder; four sons: Roger Polo (Raegan), James York, Mike York (Dianne), Jason York. 19 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Besides her husband, Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Leona Jewett, sister, Julie Baumeister, son, Gary Baumeister, son, Neil Polo, and granddaughter Brittney York.

Sylvia loved spending time with her family and playing games. She loved sewing (formal and wedding gowns), crafts, and helping others. She was loved by everyone who knew her.

Cremation has been entrusted to Banks &amp; Beals Funeral Home of Dallas City.&nbsp;

Sylvia’s family plans to announce a time and date for a Celebration of Life Ceremony in Michigan.&nbsp;
