Tami Jean Hart Maddox, 52, of Burlington, died on June 7, 2023, at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington.
Tami Maddox was born on April 16, 1971 to Virgil and Betty Howell Hart in Fort Madison.
After Tami graduated from Burlington Community High School in 1989, she worked as a CNA. For the last ten years, Tami was an assistant manager at Casey’s General Store in Middletown.
Tami was a loving mother to her treasured children: Phillip Andrew Hart, Austin Michael Maddox and Katy Kileen Maddox.
Tami was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her devoted companion, Dave Hamlin; brothers and sisters - Mary Kathryn Hart, Keosauqua; Virgil Hart, Virginia Beach, Va.; Susan Hart, Ankeny; Valerie Canby, Peosta; Douglas Hart, Solon; Lori Levins, West Branch; Bradley Hart, Ft. Madison, and Betty Hart, Burlington. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
Tami cherished all the time she spent with her children, her companion, Dave, and all her other family members and friends. She also loved art and was always very creative.
In her final wishes, Tami requested no memorial service or funeral.
She wishes to be remembered and acknowledged as a hard-working, loving mother; loyal and ideal sister and friend; and someone who found value in everyone and time to love and encourage them.
Tami’s passing leaves our hearts hurting, but her memory will live on through all of us blessed to know her and love her.
