Phillip Lee Cox, 48, of New London, died Thursday, December 18, 2025, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospital in West Burlington.

Born January 5, 1977, in Burlington, he was the son of Clyde Phillip and Cathy Lynn Cox. On August 16, 2003, he married Becky Kalar in West Burlington United Methodist Church.

Phillip was a welder/mechanic supervisor and team leader for Borghi USA.

He had a natural talent for working with his hands and a creative mind that found joy in 3D printing, where he could turn ideas into something real and useful - whether he was tinkering on a new project or perfecting a design. Phillip cherished his family, especially his children and grandchildren, who brought him endless pride and happiness. He loved spending time with them. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and finding adventure behind the wheel of his side-by-side. He loved driving back roads, getting muddy, and embracing the thrill of the ride. He was rarely far from his beloved dogs-Odin, Freya, and Ragnar.

Survivors include his wife, Becky Cox of New London, his five children, Samantha (Micheal) Biddenstadt of Burlington, Dylon (Leann) Sibley of Burlington, Gabrielle Harris of Burlington, Lucas Sibley of Burlington, Alexandra (Jordan) Cox of Mediapolis; eight grandchildren, Eliza Cox, Ayden Christofferson, Raelee Christofferson, Kinley Voyles, Keegan Biddenstadt, Jaxon Harris, Jameson Harris and Oaklynne Sibley; sister, Tracy (Loren) Worthen of Granite City, IL; brother, Clyde (Melanie) Farmer of Tipton; parents-in-law, Tara and Gary Kalar of Burlington; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Garmoe, niece, Tara Hill and his beloved dogs, Sarge, Bruno and Ava.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.

There will be no visitation or services.
