
Donna Aolani Brockett, 71, of Burlington, died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2024, at her home.
Born Oct. 28, 1953, in Honolulu, Hawaii, she was the daughter of George Harris and Eunice Keala Ah Puck Johnson. On Jan. 26, 1974, she married Rickie William Brockett in Burlington.
She graduated from Burlington High School in 1970.
Donna worked for the Basket Factory and the Potato Chip Factory. Her real passion was taking care of people; Donna had a home daycare, was an in home caregiver and helped as a caregiver for many years at Hope Haven.
She was of the Methodist faith. Donna loved to bowl and she was a member of the Bowling Association, Jr. Bowling League. She was even inducted into the Bowling Hall of Fame and was the bowler of the year. She also like making crafts and cakes. But most of all, Donna loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Rickie; two children, Sean (Kendra) Brockett of Valrico, FL and Keala (Brian) Reich of West Burlington; six grandchildren, Ashton (Alejandra), Carson, Holton, Logan (Bekah), Hunter, Leilana; one great-grandchild, Elysia, and one on the way in January. She is also survived by her siblings, Phil (Kathy) Clevenger of Galesburg, IL and Geri Elmore of Burlington, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Ronnie, Jerry and D.J. Johnson, one sister Wanda Lou Johnson and one brother-in-law, Tom Elmore.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
A memorial has been established for her grandchildren.
