Leanna F. Elmore, 74, of Burlington, died Friday, April 11, 2025, at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center Hospice House in West Burlington.

Born on Oct. 17, 1950, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Leo and Lena Ashby Stamper. On April 18, 1969, in Burlington, she married Keith D. Elmore. He preceded her in death on May 5, 2002.

Leanna worked for Wal-Mart and Hungry Bear and was a member of Community of Christ Church in Burlington. Leanna enjoyed watching western tv shows and listening to Elvis Presley. She loved enjoying bake goods and candy. Her sweet dog Shay was her world and brought her the most joy. Most of all Leanna loved being with her family.

She is survived by her two children: Peggy (Brad) Nelson and Jeffrey (fiancé Jenny Pitts) Elmore all of Burlington; six grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and two sisters: Becky (Andy) Judd and Tina (Danny) John all of Burlington.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Cremation has been entrusted and accorded to the care of Lunning Chapel. No formal services will be held at this time.
