Shirley Rhum, 84, of Mediapolis, died Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at the Azria Health Prairie Ridge Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Mediapolis.&nbsp;

Born April 4, 1938, in Illinois, she was the daughter of Robert and Erlene Lee. She married Richard Rhum on December 11, 1959. He died March 23, 1993.&nbsp;

Shirley was a homemaker and provided in-home daycare for many years. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Mediapolis where she taught Sunday school and sang in the church choir.&nbsp;She enjoyed doing cross stitch and loved spending time with her grandkids.&nbsp;

Survivors include her three children; Rosemary Rhum of Mt. Pleasant, Rick Rhum of Leon, Ia., and Robert Rhum of Mediapolis; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and one brother Ron Wilkerson of Sioux City.&nbsp;

The funeral service for Mrs. Rhum was Friday, July 15th at the First United Presbyterian Church in Mediapolis. Interment is in Kossuth Cemetery, rural Mediapolis.&nbsp;

A memorial has been established for the Azria Health Prairie Ridge Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center.&nbsp;
