Steven Beyer, 72, of Burlington, died Tuesday, July 1, 2025. His physical heart was weak and tired, but his Spiritual heart was secure in Jesus.

He was born August 20, 1952, the son of fire captain, Kenneth Beyer and Catherine Moore Beyer. He was born again in the mid-1970s after GE co-workers shared Christ with him and he read Hal Lindsey's "Late Great Planet Earth".

He married Donna Wemmie on Nov 30, 1977. Together they served in puppet and Dial a Story phone ministry. He was the SnoCone man for soccer and T-Ball at the YMCA. He gave away hundreds of Gospel booklets as well as "Late Great" books. Sometimes he would rather read the Bible than eat!

He wants you to join him at his new home. You can, if you take THE KEY... Jesus. Receive Him as God's only begotten Son. (John 3:16).

Steve is survived by his loving wife of 47 years. His children, Erin Miller, Mick (Alannah McLain) and Kenny Beyer of Burlington; brother John (Andra) Beyer of Cedar Rapids, sisters: Pat Brophy of Columbus Junction, Margaret (Dick) Friedman of Fort Worth, Tx; grandchildren; Alisa Ryan (Darian Thomas), Allison Miller (Landon McMillen), Myah Miller (David Canaday) as well as four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by: his parents and brother, father Richard Beyer and daughter Amber Ryan.

Steve was a long-time member of Oak Street Baptist Church.

At this time there is no memorial planned. He would rather you think of Jesus and His Great Free gift for you.

Your expressions of love can be sent to Donna Beyer, 1816 Laurel St. Burlington, IA 52601.
